Rep. Jan Schakowsky announced Aug. 10 that she will introduce the “Emergency Jobs to Restore the American Dream Act” when Congress resumes after its summer break. The bill proposes to create 2.2 million jobs and lower unemployment by 1.3 percent. “The worst deficit this country faces isn’t the budget deficit,” she said. “It’s the jobs deficit.
