Stage 773 announced some big changes recently. The theatre space, located at 1225 W. Belmont Ave., spent $1.5 million in renovation led by architect John Morris, who has designed for Lookingglass and Northlight in the past. It took three months to improve four distinct theatre rooms: Mainstage Thrust, Mainstage Pro, Black Box and Cabaret.
Shattered Globe and Artistic Home have already committed to be resident companies. TheMassive is currently running a dance performance of Faust until Oct. 9 and Liminality Theatre opens Oct. 15 with This is Our Youth. Cabaret is on the way throughout October and Jimmy Carrane presents his Improv Nerd all the way through Thanksgiving.
Artistic Director Brian Posen promises to keep crowds satisfied, making this area a destination place for entertainment. It seats 148 in the two larger spaces and 75 in the two smaller rooms.
