Macy’s, OUT and the HIV/AIDS agency Chicago House hosted a first look at the most recent collections for men, including Hugo Boss and French Connection, Oct. 6 at Macy’s on State Street.

Attendees enjoyed EFFEN vodka cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and snacks from Protein Bar as they shopped. People could also get a complimentary skin-care treatment from Lab Series; nail buffing from KIVA Salon; and a free sample of Gucci Guilty fragrance for men.

Greg Hodapp and his friend, Willy Olson, heard about the event through an ad in the newspaper. “It’s a fun way to experience what the store has to offer and see what Out magazine is doing.” He said.

Olsen added, “And the models.”

Sharla Nolte, development associate at Chicago House, said the partnership with Macy’s has been going on for more than five years, bringing in more than $40,000 in contributions.

Macy’s is also a major sponsor of Chicago House events, including the Nov. 4 Luncheon with Keynote speaker Whoopi Goldberg.
