After a troubled Chicago tryout and a long but critically drubbed run in New York, The Addams Family returns to the Windy City in a retooled and rewritten production that promises to be the definitive and final version of the big Broadway musical based upon Charles Addams’ merrily macabre comics. The Addams Family continues through Jan. 1 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W.
