—McDonald’s Corp. has voted down a proposal to assess its impact on public health, particularly childhood obesity, according to Advertising Age. The consumer-watchdog group Corporate Accountability International brought the proposal. Outgoing McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner said the chain has set the bar in the fast-food industry when it comes to improving the nutritional value of its items.
