Lynn Szymoniak, a prominent attorney and foreclosure activist featured on 60 Minutes’ Loeb Award-winning segment, “The Next Housing Shock” will tell her story Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago, 7574 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.
Szymoniak battled some of the biggest banks in the country, exposed major unethical practices, saved her own home and stymied banks from foreclosing on countless others. Her efforts resulted in a $95 million judgment, with Szymoniak personally receiving an additional $9 million compensation. She is now giving many of those dollars to charities as she continues her battle with the banking industry.
The program, “Exposing Massive Home Foreclosure Fraud” will start at 10:30 a.m.. It will include a question-and-answer period, to be followed by an open discussion period. There is no charge; the program is open to the public.
