Chicago’s Gateway Green celebrated its 21st annual Green Tie Ball over the weekend. Raising money to beautify Chicago came with an “Alice in Wonderland” theme this year.

Costumed characters and roaming bubble-blowing DJs entertained guests; there was also a live cover band that played well into the night. Two huge tents at the A. Finkl & Sons property housed gamers for the Rivers Casino, auction items and mouth-watering food. Restaurants were represented, with Shaw’s Crab House, Rosebud, Mercadito and Frontier present, among others. Desserts ranged from Eli’s cheesecake to coconut green cotton candy. Guests definitely did not go hungry—or thirsty, with open bars tucked in every corner.

The hosts were Windy City Live’s Valerie Warner and Ryan Chiaverini.
