—The apple-pancetta pancakes at Eduardo’s Enoteca: The revamped Italian midscale eatery, located at 1212 N. Dearborn St., has an incredible interior and a menu to match. Eduardo’s now offers brunch, and these cakes are definitely a highlight.
—Kelly Clarkson: Greatest Hits—Chapter One: Recently in the spotlight after performing “My Country Tis of Thee” so well at President Obama’s inauguration, Clarkson has released this compilation. There are a few new tunes here, but the hits are definitely present, including “Breakaway,” “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and, of course, “Since U Been Gone.”
—The Cravory (www.thecravory.com): Cararmel vanilla latte, pancakes & bacon, Oreo milkshake, mint chip ice cream and red velvet are just a few of the almost 1,000 flavors of cookie this site offers. Moreover, if none of those appeals to you for some reason, you can create your own flavor.
—Magnetie (www.themagnetie.com): These cravats are worn like any other tie—but rely on magnets (a rather ingenious idea). The magnets secure the tail behind the tie, concealing any sort of mistake (such as a tail that’s too short). Moreover, the ties from this Chicago-based company are reversible, offering variety—as well as a way to conceal a stain that’s on one side.
—JackThreads (www.jackthreads.com): This online shopping community offers massive discounts on men’s clothing and accessories, and also let you know how many days and hours are left until the sales end for each category/brand.
