Openly gay comedian Scott Kennedy suddenly passed away at age 49 on March 14.
According to Laughspin.com, the New Mexico-born and Texas-raised comic was perhaps best known by his more than 50 trips to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain U.S. troops as well as by his friendly demeanor both on and off stage. Usually wearing a football jersey and cap, Kennedy told jokes about his desire to be a police officer, his love of food and the fact he was gay.
