Illinois State University’s LGBTQA Alumni Network will hold its first event, an after-work mixer, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Replay, 3439 N. Halsted. The event will feature a cash bar and free appetizers.
The goal of the newly established group is to bring together alums not only to reconnect them to the university but also to each other. The Chicago metro area contains the greatest concentration of ISU alums so the group hopes to establish periodic events in the Chicago area. In addition, the network seeks input from LGBT and LGBT-allied alums on the types of events and projects the network should sponsor.
