On Feb. 13, Elisha Lim’s “100 Butches” had its opening reception at the University of Chicago’s Center for Gender/Race Studies, 5733 S. University St. The Artists’ Salon of the Center for the Study for Gender and Sexuality presented the show, which included an exhibit talk from artist Kim Crosby.

The show consisted of Lim’s color drawings of butch and transmasculine people with handwritten narratives depicting complex and compelling stories and anecdotes of identity and expression. The show also investigates Lim’s desire for her subjects as well as the idea of desire itself.

The show will run until March 21.
