The Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus (CBGMC) will host its first of quarterly dialogues centering on Black gay/bisexual male experiences on Tuesday, March 25.
This installment will highlight the work of THE Southside Stories Project which uses digital storytelling to raise the voices of young people on the South Side of Chicago. Digital stories are rich narratives relating critical life experiences through short multimedia videos. Digital storytelling has been used to document and preserve communal stories and histories, develop leaders, and to advance social causes. The project is facilitated by Ford Scholars, a select group of professional and graduate students at the University of Chicago.
The event will take place at BLUE1647, 1647 South Blue Island Avenue, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
