The Princeton Review released its annual list of “The Best 379 Colleges,” ranking California’s Stanford University as the most LGBT-friendly college in the nation, LGBTQ Nation reported.
The review also listed its most LGBT-unfriendly schools, with Illinois’ Wheaton College listed third, behind College of the Ozarks (in Point Lookout, Missouri) and Grove City College (in Grove City, Pennsylvania).
Others on the top 20 “unfriendly” list include Utah’s Brigham Young University, North Carolina’s Wake Forest University and Indiana’s University of Notre Dame.
Those on the top 20 “friendly” list include the University of Wisconsin, Minnesota’s Carleton College and New York’s Sarah Lawrence College.
The annual survey asked 130,000 students at 379 top colleges to rate their schools on dozens of topics and report on their experiences at them.
