On Oct. 18, guests gathered at 400 N. May St., where fashion designer Borris Powell and filmmaker/director Kyle Thomas unveiled a joint venture.

Earlier this year, Powell and Thomas teamed for the new series SEX + LOVE, and announced Thomas as the face of Powell’s brand-new men’s line. Midway through the event, Thomas screened a sneak preview of SEX + LOVE, a dramedy about dating. To end the night, Powell presented a demo of his line’s newest development: nanotechnology, which ensures stain-resistant clothing.

In addition, Katie Cahnmann of Now You Know Events has joined as the events arm of the collaboration.
