Denice Davis, who is challenging openly gay incumbent Ald. James Cappleman for his post representing the city’s 46th Ward on the city council, gathered with supporters Feb. 5 at El Mariachi Tequila Bar & Grill, 3906 N. Broadway.
Davis was former chief of staff to the ward’s previous alderman, Helen Shiller. Also in the current race is lesbian attorney Amy Crawford.
