Dan Savage’s HUMP! festival April 8-9

Dan Savage—the writer behind the 20-year-running Savage Love advice column, LGBTQ and political activist, and co-creator of the It Gets Better Project—will run his HUMP! Film Festival at the Music Box Theater, 3733 N. Southport Ave., on April 8-9 with shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

The idea for the festival started in 2005, when Savage asked readers to send him homemade adult films. They did—in droves.

In addition, on Thursday, April 7, Savage will have a live recording of his podcast “Savage Lovecast” also at the Music Box, starting at 8:30 p.m. Savage will answer sex questions from the audience with some help from other revered freaks and “sexperts.”
