A GoFundMe account has been set up for Frank Chaves, the famed dancer, choreographer and former artistic director of River North Dance Chicago.
Chaves suffers from syringomyelia, a degenerative spinal-cord condition that has no cure. While surgery has shown some signs of success in his upper body, his legs have declined even further and he will now need in-home health care.
Friends of Chaves—Sandi Cooksey, Gail Kalver, Carol Fox, Howard Girovich, Scott Hughes, Jim Gosse and John Pratt, and Cathryn Schmaltz—have put together a GoFundMe campaign for Frank and partner Mark Reeves.
