There will be an Asian/Pacific Islander (API) LGBTQ family-acceptance workshop on Sunday, May 22, at Lake View Lutheran Church, 835 W. Addison St., 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Attendees will “hear Asian American and Southeast Asian parents share their experiences of confusion, fear, love, acceptance and celebration of their LGBTQ children,” according to a press release.
Speakers will include Marsha, the Japanese mother of a transgender son; Danny, the Filipino father of a gay son; and Joanne, the Korean mother of a transgender son.
