Francisco Ibanez-Carrasco, Ph.D—a Canadian-Chilean educationist, researcher, POZ activist, author and visiting scholar at the Leather Archives & Museum 2016-2017—will be in conversation with queer HIV-positive educator/activist Dr. Brett Stockdill, a sociology professor at Northeastern Illinois University, at the Leather Archives, 6418 N. Greenview Ave., on Thursday, Dec. 1, 7-9 p.m.
The event is titled “How to write about your (miserable?) health and still get men to want you, and say yes to you!”
Ibanez-Carrasco will mix candid conversation about queer health and BDSM and tips on writing autopathography (the patient’s tale) with a reading of foreplay nonfiction.
Admission is free and open to the general public. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
