Emmy-winning actor and comedian Leslie Jordan will perform his stand-up at Northeastern Illinois University on Thursday, Dec. 8, to conclude NEIU Gives Back Week.
The performance, titled “An Afternoon With Leslie Jordan,” is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the auditorium on the main campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
While tickets are free to students, a donation of a nonperishable food item for the Student Pantry is encouraged. Tickets are $20 for faculty, staff, alumni and the general public. Proceeds will benefit a new scholarship for students who belong to the LGBTQ community.
Jordan’s performance will be the conclusion of a giving and philanthropy effort that began on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29.
