The Huffington Post has released a list of 50 of what it considers to be the best independent bookstores in the country—and Women & Children First made the list.

The Andersonville business came in at number seven. Senior reporter Joseph Erbentraut wrote, ” Sure, it’s a feminist bookstore with a name eerily similar to a certain Portlandia sketch. But it’s not some caricature. This place has a real heart and cares about their neighborhood and city, hosting regular community events spotlighting both emerging local and established international names.”

The only other Chicago bookstore receiving a mention (an honorable one) was Myopic Books.

Detroit’s John K. King Used & Rare Books—which carries about 1 million books—topped the list. It was followed by Taylor Books in Charleston, West Virginia; Literari in Ann Arbor, Michigan; New York City’s The Strand; and Left Bank Books, located in St. Louis.
