Despite the closure of the annual Pride at Montrose Festival in 2016, members of the LGBTQ community gathered for the traditional post parade celebration at Montrose Harbor. Friends and families celebrated in the cool early evening with barbecue cook outs, spontaneous dance competitions, and social networking with an emphasis on joy and frivolity. No incidents or arrests were recorded at the gathering.
