At Howard Brown Health’s 3rd annual Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium, Oct. 6-7, LGBTQ healthcare providers and advocates will showcase lessons learned and other innovative sexual health and HIV prevention programs.

In August, the peer-reviewed journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases published a paper highlighting Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) promotion strategies among men who have sex with men who were referred to Howard Brown from the Chicago Department of Public Health.

While barriers exist to patients accessing PrEP across the country, Howard brown helped 2,544 patients access PrEP over the last two years. Findings from this article show that partnerships are feasible and critical to expanding patient access to PrEP.
