The online wedding brand The Knot hosted a wedding for Olympic gold medalist and 2015 WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne and fiancee Amanda Clifton.
The Knot Dream Wedding brought together wedding professionals to create a personalized, elegant affair at The Hempstead House at Sands Point Preserve in Long Island, New York, with 200 guests.
Delle Donne and Clifton were The Knot’s first same-sex Dream Couple. To share in her special day, Della Donne had her older sister Lizzie (who was born deaf and blind, with other disabilities) as her maid of honor.
As a part of The Knot’s Dream Wedding, the couple were surprised with a trip to Tahiti for their romantic honeymoon from Tahiti-by-Tahiti Tourism.
