Linda Coon is retiring from her position as executive director of Families’ and Children’s AIDS Network (FCAN), effective Dec. 31, the organization announced on Facebook.
FCAN, an Illinois nonprofit organization, has been serving the LGBT community since 1985.
The Facebook post reads, in part, “Linda has been a tremendous leader and advocate. Linda has worked tirelessly over the years on programs to help support families affected by HIV/AIDS, such as: legal and social work services, family retreats, adolescent services, and advocacy and policy reform.
“We would like to thank Linda for her 26 years of service to FCAN. We all wish her the very best.”
