On Friday, March 2, 5-9 a.m., members of The Lighthouse Church of Chicago—which is LGBT-inclusive and predominantly African-American—will gather at the Wilson Red Line stop, 4620 N. Broadway, to distribute 1,000 pairs of hand warmers to CTA riders.

The church is doing this as a way to 1) celebrate four years of life-changing ministry, 2) bless the neighborhood of Uptown in which the church gathers for weekly worship at Uptown Underground, 4713 N. Broadway, and 3) inspire people to learn more about their community and to check out its Sunday morning worship services.

Also, Lighthouse Church members will distribute flyers with the hand warmers that invite CTA riders to a Sunday, March 4, worship experience at 11 a.m. during which The Lighthouse will kick of a new March sermon series, “FREQUENCY: 4 Ways To Tune Into God’s Voice.”
