As always, there was an Evening in Bloom presentation. This year’s was “Hort Couture,” presented March 13, with local personality/writer Candace Jordan hosting.
Regarding the show itself, there were 20 gardens on display, including “Women’s Journeys in Fiber,” “Sculpture in the Garden” and “The Story of Diversity.” In addition, there were speakers and workshops, a kids’ garden and the ever-popular tablescapes, among other highlights.
Lastly, there was the marketplace, which is known for selling a wide variety of items—and this year was no different. Items ranged from the garden-centered (including plants and the Husqvarna Automower, which is basically a Roomba for the lawn) to soaps to foods and even massage chairs.
