The Gene Siskel Film Center (GSFC) of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will honor Academy Award, Golden Globe, SAG and Tony Award nominee Ethan Hawke on Thursday, June 7, at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, 160 E. Pearson St., at 6 p.m.

The celebratory evening will pay homage to the actor’s accomplishments in front of and behind the camera as well as give attendees the opportunity to hear an intimate conversation, providing insights into his creative process and influences, favorite roles, his upcoming film Blaze, which was co-written, produced and directed by Hawke and will open in theaters this fall.

The evening will culminate with the presentation of the Gene Siskel Film Center Renaissance Award to Hawke by SAIC President Elissa Tenny and GSFC Advisory Board Chair Ellen Sandor.
