Some of the seasonally inspired dishes that Executive Chef Sean Olnowich has created include New England lobster rolls, tuna-poke tacos, Hot Cheetos-crusted wings and more. In addition to its creative dishes, Bounce offers rose ice pops along with a list of, well, bouncy cocktails such as the Panda, Panda, Panda (Party Wafer-infused Bulleit Bourbon, Big Rock, Hello Panda, old-fashioned bitters and simple syrup); Can’t Feel My Face (mango infused DeLeon Tequila, habanero, fresh citrus, simple syrup, dehydrated mango); and the Cardi Bee (gin, honey, meyer lemon, and bubbles), named after the famous rapper.
With its late-night hours Monday through Sunday, Bounce offers nights with different sounds by Victor R., Apollo Xo and more. With the doors are open as late as 2 a.m., anyone can have fun on a Monday! Bounce also takes reservations through its website—and for those looking to throw a big event, the spot has a private event space.
This place is exciting and fun! The atmosphere creates a jaw-dropping experience from the moment you walk in while your flowing from one room to another, then upstairs to the rooftop. It’s like an upscale treehouse because you wouldn’t even think that it was up there (and because of the stairwell art).
When it was time to order, the menu choices seemed incredible. Some of the things I was nervous about trying, but I have to say the Hot Cheetos-crusted chicken strips (the wings can be ordered in strip form) and tuna-poke tacos were my favorites. Both dishes were beautifully displayed and flavorful. And since I was already eating spicy food, why not get a spicy drink! Can’t Feel my Face is hands down the best cocktail I’ve had so far in my few months of being 21. It was spicy and it had a kick to it that was topped with an orange pepper—and it made you want to get up and dance to the music.
Chicago needs a place like this, where individuals who want to have a drink during the week and everything is closed at 10 p.m. Now that summer is finally here, folks can head on over to Chicago Avenue and enjoy a night in the city.
