The Lighthouse Church—located at Uptown Underground, 4713 N. Broadway—has launched a new sermon series for July that focuses on the experiences of Black LGBT folks. Services start at 11 a.m. each Sunday.
The sermon series, “The Gospel According to Beyonce,” happens every Sunday during July. Lighthouse will perform a different Beyonce hit during worship through song and dance.
On July 22, the praise team ministered, “I can see your ‘Halo.'” DJ Superman will spin gospel house music, and the choir will sing some of Beyonce’s hits. The July 29 sermon will incorporate the song “Sandcastles.”
