Attending the Equality Illinois gala this weekend was Mira Ebalo, PA-C, in black tie and tutu, who represented the Weiss Memorial Hospital gender confirmation program in Uptown. Weiss Hospital stands with Equality Illinois and is committed to providing healthcare to everyone.
Equality Illinois is the largest LGBTQ equality event in the Midwest and one of the largest in the country. Chaired by community leader Nabeela Rasheed, the event awards inspirational leaders and organizations whose selfless work helps create a world that is healthy, just and fully equal for all LGBTQ people. This year Channyn Lynne Parker, Danny Wirtz, and the Illinois AFL-CIO were honored.
