Former CEO of Chicago Public Schools and mayoral candidate Paul Vallas has been elected to the board of directors of the Museum of Broadcast Communications (MBC).

In 2020, the MBC will be introducing an educational program for students to inform them on what to look for when analyzing news and news sources. “As we look to the future of the MBC and its concentration on media literacy and education, Paul Vallas will lend his expertise and resources to further our goals of reaching students and teaching them the intricacies of the media and news,” said museum chair Larry Wert in a statement.

The MBC recently ended its successful run of “Saturday Night Live: The Experience,” and has two new exhibits planned for the remainder of 2019.
