Under heavy, pendulous clouds, the Legacy Project set off on its 6th Annual Summer Yacht Party on Aug. 5, for a three-hour boat ride on Lake Michigan

The yearly excursion, which included beats by DJ Myles, took place on the Anita Dee II, a 140-foot yacht with seating for 100 guests, an open deck and a dance floor.

Despite the threat of rain, once the trip got underway, the skies cleared to reveal a beautiful horizon and guests enjoyed the southwestern corn black bean salad, Caprese salad with fresh mozzarella and grilled beef sliders—not to mention a soundtrack of ‘70s and ‘80s disco classics on the at-times rowdy dance floor.

Legacy Project CEO Victor Salvo and Board Vice President Kit Welch served as unofficial hosts for the evening. The evening came to a close with a fireworks show on the lake.
