Chicago plays host this week to the Sixth Edition of the Physical Theater Festival featuring shows from around the world (Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, the UK and Puerto Rico are represented), a hometown show (The Raveling, Walkabout Theatre Company), workshops with international guest artists and a “Scratch Night” featuring new short works from local performers. Venues include Chopin Theatre, Stage 773 and Columbia College Chicago (11th Street theatre). Enjoy performances and workshops that celebrate theater games, mime, movement, music, dance, acrobatics, commedia, masks and maybe even the odd spoken word to tell their stories and create visual magic. Performance ticket prices are $15-$20; workshops are more. Full details: http://physicalfestival.com.
