EXPO CHICAGO: The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art took place at Navy Pier on Sept. 19-22.

The eighth annual exposition hosted 135 galleries from 24 countries and 68 cities, and introduced diverse programming. Programming included the /DIALOGUES panel series, featuring artistic discourse with leading artists, curators, designers and arts professionals on the current issues that engage them; IN/SITU, with large-scale and site-specific works; and more.

Just a few of the gallery exhibitors included Mendes Wood DM (Sao Paulo; Brussels; New York), CONVERSO (Chicago; New York; Los Angeles), Galerie RX (Paris), Fredric Snitzer Gallery (Miami), Stephen Daiter Gallery (Chicago) and Gavlak (Los Angeles; Palm Beach). Also, many of the items were up for sale—with one of the items on the higher end being Andy Warhol’s diamond-dust candy box ($150,000, at Chicago’s Alan Koppel Gallery).
