More than 40 Chicago punk, prog, noise, rock and surf musicians—including current and former members of PiL, Naked Raygun and Local H—will perform at a benefit concert to raise money for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless in honor of the late Rob Warmowski, a fixture on the local music scene since forming surf punk band The Defoliants in 1984.

The concert will take place at Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., on Monday, Oct. 21, 5-10 p.m.

Pegboy, Cheer-Accident, ONO, Silver Abuse, Watchmen, 007 and Dummy will perform, along with Warmowski’s own bands: The Defoliants, Buzzmuscle, SIR and San Andreas Fault. Steve Albini will emcee.

The suggested donation is $20; see “Celebration of Life & Work of Rob Warmowski to Benefit CCH” on Facebook.
