“LANDMARK: The Legacy Project [un]Gala” will take place Thursday, Oct. 10, 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the Chez event space, 247 E. Ontario St.

Celebrating such recent developments as the Legacy Walk Rainbow Pylon Streetscape officially becoming the largest LGBTQ historic landmark on Earth as well as the LGBTQ-Inclusive Curriculum Bill (HB246) becoming Illinois law, “[un]Gala” will feature an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, music and displays of LGBTQ history. Comedienne Gwen La Roka will emcee.

In addition, there will be four people whose contributions will be honored: Lori F. Cannon (Legacy Advocate Award), Paul Highfield (Legacy Philanthropist Award), Owen Keehnen (Legacy Educator Award) and Carrie Maxwell (Legacy Volunteer Award).

Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and First Lady Amy Eshleman will be the honorary hosts.
