Out Chicagoan Tedd Hawks has written the novel Burn—which encompasses the intersecting queer lives of an elderly man in Edgewater, a down-and-out accountant in Lake View and a group of gay men in Boystown.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University, Hawks holds an MFA in creative writing. His first novel, FAGGIT, looks at love, alienation and hope through an LGBT lens.
