The first-ever Chicago Cabaret Week will take place March 20-30, with 45 shows in 18 venues.
Cabaret artists such as Reginald Robinson, Bradford Newquist, Frieda Lee Stevenson, Beckie Menzie and Denise Tomasello will perform blues, jazz, burlesque, pop, comedy, Broadway and the American Songbook. Venues will include Stage 773, Drew’s on Halsted, Skokie Theatre, Le Piano and Munno Pizzeria Bistro, among others. Among the many shows will be “Lucky Star: Madonna at 60 and Beyond,” “Songs in the Key of Chicago,” “HERstory: The 19th Amendment Turns 100,” “Ragtime Piano” and “Laughing Matters of Carol Burnett.”
