Lambda Legal will hold a virtual town hall, “HIV and COVID-19 in Illinois: Ensuring State Responses Protect Everyone Living with HIV,” on Thursday, June 4, 2-3 p.m. CT.
Lambda Legal Counsel and HIV Project Director Scott Schoettes and Illinois Department of Human Rights Director Jim Bennett are slated to discuss the steps Illinois has taken to protect residents living with HIV, as well as the civil-rights protections for all Illinoisans, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Schoettes will share how Lambda Legal’s resources and expertise have been used in Illinois and across the nation to help ensure both better planning and response on the part of government agencies, health care providers and others.
