On July 3-5, Lighthouse Foundation will host a virtual Black Queer Pride in celebration of the organization’s first-year anniversary.

The organization aims to advance justice for Black LGBTQ+ people across Chicagoland through entrepreneurship, empowerment, education and entertainment.

During the three-day virtual event, the Foundation will highlight a cross section of Black LGBTQ+ performers, celebrities, speakers and presenters. Segments will include entertainment such as drag performances, dance parties and concerts; there will also be info sessions and tutorials from Black queer professionals. Comedian Sampson McCormick will bring greetings, and his comedy show, Church Boy, will air during the event.

People can learn more about the lineup in the Facebook event on Lighthouse Foundation’s page at http://Facebook.com/lightfoundchi; RSVP at http://bit.ly/BQPFBE.
