Gordon Keith Richardson

Gordon Keith Richardson of Washington, D.C., passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at the age of 60 from complications of COVID-19.

Keith was born in Leadville, CO, and raised primarily in St. Charles, Missouri.

He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1979 and from Tarkio College in 1984.

In his youth, Keith was active in the Boy Scouts and Explorers and was a talented drummer. He went on to do a variety of things in his adult years, including serving as a community organizer for voter registration in Chicago.

He enjoyed politics, theology and a great debater.

Keith is survived by his partner, Daniel Carlson of Washington D.C.; his mother, Anna Mae (Hoffman) Richardson; two sisters – Sherri Richardson and Mellany Hanford (Kevin); one brother, Steve Richardson (Gregg Williamson); and two nephews, Brandon Keele (Tara) and Bradley Keele (Kristen). He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Richardson.

Keith faced a multitude of serious health challenges. His spirit stayed strong and his zest for life never waned.
