On March 31, the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide face mask mandate, http://WISN.com reported.

The ruling was four to three. Republican lawmakers filed the suit last October.

They said the governor did not have the authority to extend the state’s public health emergency beyond 60 days without approval from the legislature. Wisconsin’s current mask mandate is set to expire Monday, April 5, after Evers signed a new emergency order Feb. 4.

Evers said a decision on extending the current mask mandate will be made at the last minute.
