Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced that individual tickets for the Tony- and Gramm-winning Broadway hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will go on sale Wed., Sept. 1.
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will be one of the first productions to open to a live audience in a Broadway in Chicago venue in more than a year. It will run at Broadway In Chicago’s CIBC Theatre, 18 W. Monroe St., on Nov. 2-7.
With a book by Tony and Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni and choreography by Josh Prince, “Beautiful” features songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil.
On Oct. 27, 2019, the Broadway run of “Beautiful” ended after nearly six years. By the time the production took its final bow, it played 60 previews and 2,418 regular performances, surpassing the original production of Annie and the1998 revival of Cabaret to become the 27th longest-running musical in Broadway history.
Audience members will be required to be masked and show proof of vaccination. For those with exceptions, proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be required.
