Rachael Sage—described as an “award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and member/supporter of the LGBTQ+ community”—will perform at Uncommon Ground-Lake View, 3800 N. Clark St., on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m.
The concert is a co-bill with The Long Farewells.
The six-time Independent Music Awards winner will perform songs from her new project, Poetica. In addition, she will preview select pieces across her repertoire of 14 albums, including her critically acclaimed album Character. Sage will be joined by trumpet player Russ Johnson and violinist Kelly Halloran.
The concert is part of a series of fall shows to showcase Poetica, followed by a national tour supporting Howard Jones. Sage has played thousands of shows around the globe and shared stages with artists as diverse as Judy Collins, Eric Burdon and Ani DiFranco.
