After releasing their debut LP All of Them last October, the Chicago six-piece Glad Rags is set to return to Chicago’s Sleeping Village, 3734 W. Belmont Ave., on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m.
Glad Rags’ tour kick-off show has been rescheduled after it was canceled due to the Omicron spike during the holidays. They will be joined by George Arthur Calendar and DJ_LT.
All of Them, according to a press release, navigates “the early ’80s globalization of disco to lounge-pop of the mid-’90s, and closes with soulful mid-’70s ballads. Embroidering disparate influences into an original art pop mosaic has become the group’s signature style.”
The group released the LP through their label, Sinkhole Sounds, run by members Mah Nu and Matthew Gladly, who also produced their debut album. The label spotlights queer and gender non-conforming artists across the country.
