The Lambda Legal event will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at The Old Post Office, 433 W. Van Buren St.
The Bon Foster Civil Rights Celebration honors the memory of Robert Bonvoulior “Bon” Foster, the late civil-rights activist and attorney who was a powerful voice in Chicago in the early days of the HIV epidemic, opposing injustice and resisting discrimination. In 1993, a bequest from Foster’s estate established Lambda Legal’s Chicago-based Midwest regional office.
Bon Foster 2022 will adhere to all federal and local COVID-19 recommendations. Proof of vaccination and compliance with mask mandates will be required for all guests. Advanced registration is required.
