Actors and actresses who are at least 30 years old are needed for a murder-mystery production that revolves around a historical Bronzeville development.
Wooley’s Place will involve a murder that will take place in Chicago’s Bronzeville in the 1920s. According to a description, “Wooley’s Place in Bronzeville [was] the Black metropolis—the center of Black excellence, entertainment and culture. We have our own elected officials and our own underworld. It’s the height of [Prohibition] and the policy era.” The tale will revolve around the Jones brothers—called “the original goodfellas.”
This is a one-night-only production taking place Saturday, June 18, 7-10 p.m., at the Bronzeville Clubhouse, 3847 S. Giles Ave.
Tickets are $45 each; email bronzesuccess@gmail.com for tickets, inquiries and more information.
