The Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., is continuing its Out at CHM series with “Dancing for Life: Moving through HIV/AIDS” on Thursday, June 23, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

In honor of Chicago designating 2022 as the “Year of Chicago Dance,” the museum is inviting people to reflect on the history of HIV/AIDS in Chicago, the dance community’s efforts to provide support to those impacted by the epidemic, and the future of HIV/AIDS advocacy in Chicago and beyond. The event includes a dance performance, panel discussion and reception.

Panelists will include Dance for Life founder Randy Duncan; Joel Hall Dancers & Center Artistic Director Jacqueline Sinclair; physician/author Ross Slotten; AIDS Foundation Chicago Senior Vice President of Community Partnerships and Special Projects Dr. Cynthia Tucker; and Howard Brown Health clinical lead Mateo Betanzos.

Admission is $5 (for youth 18 and younger) to $35 (which includes a signed copy of Plague Years: A Doctor’s Journey through the AIDS Crisis, by Slotten).
