The Chicago Philharmonic Society and the Auditorium Theatre will present “Ghostbusters Live in Concert” on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E Ida B Wells Dr.

The full Ghostbusters film will play on screen while the orchestra performs Elmer Bernstein’s movie score under the direction of Bernstein’s son, conductor Peter Bernstein.

“Ghostbusters Live in Concert” is the first co-production between the Chicago Philharmonic Society and the Auditorium Theatre.

Ivan Reitman’s Ghostbusters—starring Chicago Second City alumni Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd alongside Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver—was released June 8, 1984 to critical acclaim and quickly became a cultural phenomenon.

Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased at http://chicagophilharmonic.org.
